Mobile Developer (m/f/d)

Position: Full-time 

Working Hours: 38.5 hours/week

Location: Vienna (Hybrid – at least 2 days/week on-site)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING? 🚀

You will be responsible for extending the mobile capabilities of our solutions by evolving our publicly available SDK and continuously improving our mobile applications to deliver advanced, seamless smart access experiences.

What we’re looking for

• Solid, hands-on experience with mobile development using Kotlin Multiplatform, that lets you enhance and extend our existing apps.
• Proven experience building apps, and ensuring a good usability and experience for users.
• Mindset focus on writing clean code, ease to read and also easy to consume and understand by third parties.
• Bonus: Swift experience, Angular and web based mobile application development experience.

The kind of work you will be doing:

• 70% Implementation and QA: Allowing each team member to be focused on what we like to do is important for Tapkey.
• 10% Team Coordination: This role is going to be involved working with different cross company teams.
• 20% Design and Architecture: We appreciate your ideas, part of the development is to think and bring new ideas to our platform.

ABOUT YOU (male/female/diverse) 🌟

Expertise Areas (strongly desired)

• You bring strong expertise in mobile development within a multiplatform ecosystem, working confidently across multiple technology stacks
• You have deep experience with Kotlin, with a clear focus on Kotlin Multiplatform as a primary technology
• You are experienced in building and maintaining mobile applications using Swift for iOS and Java / Kotlin for Android
• Solid experience designing and integrating mobile APIs
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and maintainability in mobile applications
• Security principles and their practical application in mobile environments

Nice to have

• You are comfortable working with hybrid frameworks such as Ionic and Angular
• German language will be helpful to work in with some team located in German speaking areas

Soft Skills and Personal Qualities:

• You have at least 3 years of experience designing and building mobile applications
• You are a hands-on problem solver who takes ownership and drives topics forward independently
• You work well in cross-functional teams and actively contribute to shared success
• You are open to collaborating with geographically distributed teams and working across multiple projects
• You are curious and continuously learning, especially in the evolving mobile landscape
• You can clearly articulate and defend technical decisions in collaborative discussions
• You are fluent in English and communicate effectively in technical contexts

With appropriate experience and qualifications, we are of course willing to significantly overpay the basic wage outlined in the IT collective agreement ( €3.954 gross according to ST1 standard-level IT-KV; we have to refer to this minimum gross salary for legal reasons).
