VIENNA, July 13th, 2020 — After more than five years of successful joint management, Tapkey’s co-founders, Markus Minichmayr and Gregor Zehetner, are now stepping up as co-CEOs, taking over the reins of founding CEO Gilbert Hödl, who will transition to an Advisory Board role.
Minichmayr and Zehetner, who had served on the Tapkey executive board, will now assume leadership of the company as part of its shift to focus on its rapidly growing integrator business. With their proven B2B experience, especially in the realm of secure and scalable cloud services, the two are ideally suited to lead the company toward increased profitable growth.
“Tapkey is well poised for even greater success,” said Zehetner. “We have an excellent team and we work in a market with tremendous potential. We look forward to sustainably expanding our partner base in select segments, both within and beyond Europe.”
Minichmayr added: "As an open platform—and one of the world’s most complete and flexible mobile-access platforms—Tapkey is ideally positioned to meet the rapidly increasing demand for easy-to-integrate solutions.”
Given his years of experience and proven expertise in building and growing emerging tech companies, Gilbert Hödl was the perfect complement to Tapkey’s leadership team to shepherd the firm’s startup phase. Now that Tapkey is an established market player, Hödl will join the company’s Advisory Board, where he will be available for guidance and support. He will also continue to serve the company as a partner and investor.
